ReplyDeleteThanks for the video. I grew up in Nemacolin , born at home in 1937 graduated from Cumberland High in 1955. My father and brother worked in the mine. It is good to see the pictures too bad we cannot see the company store the post office the movie theater and other great places we had growing up. Don Snopik
ReplyDeleteChip / Evan...Just finished watching your Nemacolin videos. Great work! You were talking about the old railroad branch that served the mine...according to some old Monongahela Railway paperwork that I have in my collection, the branch was "retired" in 1968. No indication as to when it was actually removed though.
